Legust Chouteau (L.C.) Perryman was born near Tullahassee in 1837. His was a prominent Creek family. His parents, Lewis and Ellen Perryman, moved from Alabama to Indian Territory in 1828. Perryman?s uncle George owned a large cattle ranch in the area that became Tulsa.
